As Sunday night’s episode of Love Island is set to welcome the islanders’ families to the villa, Gemma Owen will be reunited with her mother Louise and friend Sarah.
It comes after her father Michael Owen confirmed earlier this month that he will stay at home when the time comes for the parents to enter the Love Island mansion to “represent the horses” while his wife dies honor.
But Louise will reference her striker husband as she heads into the famous mansion, explaining he’s “really proud” of Gemma and having seen the show.

Fans were hoping they would see Michael fly to Mallorca as no football matches meant his schedule for the trip appeared to be free, but the pundit confirmed he would not be attending the horse races earlier this month.
Speaking to Sky Sports’ At The Races after watching his horse run, Michael explained: ‘My wife will be taking on this duty. I represent the horses and she represents the daughter.”
Racing fanatic Michael added he has complete faith in his daughter and insisted he’s less concerned about her tack on Love Island than watching his horse box-to-box races.
Proud parents: And referring to Michael, Louise will assure: “Honestly, he’s really proud of you, really proud.”

He added: “I don’t know what I’m getting from Box To Box. But I know what I’m getting from my daughter. I fathered her for 19 years so I’m pretty sure what I’m going to get from her.”
