Both Maya and Omar were born and raised in Bristol, their mother Sadie is of Swedish descent while their father Hussein is of Somali descent.

In one picture, they stood next to an unidentified relative while making a hand gesture, with Maya wearing a bright orange and purple cardigan and skirt and Omar wearing a gray tracksuit.
