Celine Dion, who has been absent from the stage for more than a year due to stiff person syndrome, is set to hit our screens soon with the movie Love Again, the first trailer for which was unveiled this morning.
As a small compensation for fans of Celine Dion, this feature film will allow them to see their idol on the big screen from May. The singer put her career on hold in October 2021 after severe muscle cramps prevented her from performing on stage. She has since been diagnosed with stiff person syndrome.
In the romantic comedy Love Again, a journalist (Sam Heughan) enlists the help of none other than Celine Dion to meet — and win over — a woman (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) whose phone number he only has.
A new song
According to the first pictures revealed on Valentine’s Day, the singer will have several scenes; we see it in particular in the context of a press conference, meetings with the journalist and a phone conversation with the character of Priyanka Chopra Jonas. In this last segment, Celine Dion even pushes the tone just to prove to her interlocutor that she’s actually the star.
A new unreleased song by the singer will also be featured in the film, which is expected in theaters on May 12.
Once titled It’s All Coming Back to Me — an obvious nod to Celine Dion’s success — the film has since been retitled Love Again by James C. Strouse. Filming would have taken place between October 2020 and early 2021 before Charlemagne’s diva took a career break.
