COMMANDER SOKOLOV LIVES IN MOSCOW
According to Moscow, the commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Viktor Sokolov, who was believed to be dead by Kiev, appeared at a meeting. Ukraine claimed responsibility for his death following an attack in Crimea last Friday.
The Russian Ministry of Defense today published an image showing the participant in a video conference. In the photo, he appears on a large screen alongside other senior military officials attending a meeting chaired by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. A press release, which did not name the official, indicated that this meeting took place on Tuesday.

Switzerland can resell 25 currently decommissioned Leopard 2 main battle tanks to Germany. Swiss senators confirmed the lower house’s sales proposal in June with 23 votes in favor, 18 against and 2 abstentions during the debate on military loans, Swiss press agency Keystone-ATS reported. Berlin will still not be able to send them to Ukraine after a vote in parliament.

RUSSIAN VILLAGES WITHOUT ELECTRICITY
A Ukrainian drone hit a substation in the Russian border region of Kursk in the small village of Snagost, disrupting power supply in seven towns, the governor said. Snagost is located about fifteen kilometers from the border with Ukraine. “No residents were injured,” he said, adding that crews were working to restore power.

RUSSIAN AIR ATTACK
Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with 38 Shahed drones, the Ukrainian Air Force said, claiming 26 of the planes were shot down. “The launches of 38 Shaheds (…) were recorded,” the Air Force wrote in its daily report on Telegram, stating that Ukrainian defenses had destroyed 26 of these Iranian-made devices.
