Lisa Vanderpump reveals the moment she discovered Tom, Katie’s breakup

Apparently, no one was more upset about the “Bubbas” breakup than Lisa Vanderpump.

The Bravo star, 61, exclusively told Page Six that she immediately called Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney when she heard rumors they were on their way to divorce.

“Obviously I’m very invested in them as a couple so it was heartbreaking to hear. I’m very close to them,” she told us Thursday night at the grand opening of Vanderpump à Paris in Las Vegas.

Vanderpump, who served as both boss and mother figure for the former “Vanderpump Rules” couple, officiated at their wedding ceremony in Northern California in August 2016 when cameras rolled for Season 5.

“When I say you deserve each other, I mean it in the best possible way,” the restaurateur said at the time. “You’re both lovely, lovely people.”

Vanderpump is of the same opinion today: Schwartz, 39, and Maloney, 35, are said to be dating.

“Let’s hold our breath and see what happens to them,” she said of the couple, who are joined by Ariana Madix, Tom Sandoval, Lala Kent, James Kennedy, Scheana Shay, Brock Davies and other Pump Rules cast members the Vegas party was attended by Peter Madrigal. “I would love to see Tom and Katie get back together.”

Noting her enduring connection with husband Ken Todd, Vanderpump continued, “I’ve been married 39 years and it’s no picnic. It’s hard work. But I think there’s hope for both of them.”

Maloney officially filed for divorce from Schwartz on March 22, after nearly three years of marriage and 12 years together. They announced their decision to separate a few days earlier.

The aftermath of Schwartz and Maloney’s split is one of several stories Vanderpump would like to see explored in a potential Pump Rules season 10.

“There’s still a lot of stories to tell among the kids, especially now because the dynamic has shifted so much and people are so invested in them,” she said of the cast and the developments in their lives that made headlines — too including Kent’s decision to leave fiancé Randall Emmett after he allegedly cheated on her last year, and Shay’s upcoming wedding to Davies.

“I don’t think they’ve told all of the collected stories in ‘Vanderpump Rules,'” Vanderpump said, also teasing that fans will hear about plans for the next installment in the series “soon.”

Meanwhile, she’s reveling in the opening of Vanderpump à Paris, her second Sin City facility with Caesars Entertainment after Vanderpump Cocktail Garden.

“Vanderpump à Paris was a true labor of love,” she said of the chic restaurant, co-designed with Nick Alain to resemble a rainy day in the City of Lights. “Between [getting] COVID and breaking my leg [in February], sometimes it felt like that would never happen. But I couldn’t be happier with the result.”
