Lisa Marie Presley’s 14-year-old twin daughters could be at the center of a custody battle after she suffered cardiac arrest and died Thursday.
Her father, Michael Lockwood, 61, is ready to take the fight to court if necessary, saying “it’s going to be a cold day in hell before he gives up custody of these kids,” according to sources associated with the Presley family in connection.
Lockwood currently holds 40 percent custody of twins Finley and Harper, who were living with Lisa Marie at the time of her death. She had the majority right with 60 percent.

Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie’s mother, who was seen rushing to West Hills Hospital and Medical Center within hours of her daughter’s medical emergency, also has a claim to make, the outlet said.
Due to the twins’ ages, it’s likely that a judge will consider their preferences when the fight goes to court.
Lockwood is Lisa Marie’s fourth husband and split from the star dramatically in 2016. The couple remained in an acrimonious divorce until her death this week. The 61-year-old was seeking $40,000 a month in child support.
Lisa Marie was married to Keough, Michael Jackson and Nicholas Cage before Lockwood.
In 2021, the 54-year-old asked a judge to “officially declare her single” from Lockwood after their five-year split after refusing to divorce her.
She said there was “no hope” for the couple to reconcile and wanted to “move on” with their lives. Allegations of drug use and child molestation were flung around during the fight to end their relationship, TMZ reported.

Lisa Marie died of a second cardiac arrest she suffered in hospital and died after the family signed a do not resuscitate order Thursday.
The 54-year-old only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley was rushed to hospital Thursday morning after she was found collapsed at her home in Calabasas by her housekeeper.
Paramedics who got to her home managed to revive her and she got a pulse again, but she was brain dead on arrival at the hospital, TMZ reported Friday.
The family rushed to her bedside, where she was in an induced coma and on life support. When they learned that she was already brain dead, they signed a “do not resuscitate” order. She suffered a second cardiac arrest and died.
Her mother Priscilla, 77, was at her bedside.
“It is with a heavy heart that I share the devastating news that our beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has passed away,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement Thursday night.

Ex-husband Danny Keough – her first of four with whom she lived – had returned to the home shortly after her collapse and performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
Keough is the father of actress daughter Riley, 33, and son Benjamin, who took his own life in July 2020 at the age of 27.
Her fourth husband, Michael Lockwood, is the father of Presley’s 14-year-old twin daughters, Harper Vivienne and Finlay.
Lisa Marie had been in retirement since her son’s death but was on the rise thanks in part to the success of the Baz Luhrmann biopic Elvis, which she loved.
She was at the Golden Globes two days before her death to celebrate Austin Butler’s Best Actor Award for portraying her father.
And on Sunday, the singer-songwriter told the doting crowd at her father’s Memphis estate that they were the “only people who can get me out of the house” to celebrate his 88th birthday.

Last Sunday at Graceland, Lisa Marie said, “It’s been a while. I missed you. I love you.
“I keep saying you’re the only ones who can get me out of the house. I’m not joking. I love you back and that’s why I’m here.
“Today he would have been 88 years old, it’s hard to believe. I think he would have been proud, I think this year has been an amazing year. I think the film was amazing and I’m very proud of it, I hope you are too.

On Tuesday, the star was spotted crying with her mother, Priscilla, during the Golden Globes.
They put their hands over their eyes and then their hearts as actor Austin Butler, who won Best Actor for his portrayal of Lisa Marie’s father in the biopic Elvis, told them he would love her “forever.”
She was previously active on Instagram and regularly posted photos of her family, but hadn’t posted anything since August.
Lisa Marie married guitarist Keough after meeting in a drug rehabilitation center when they were teenagers. They had two children, Benjamin and Riley.
They divorced in the Dominican Republic in 1994, days before she eloped with Michael Jackson.
After Jackson, Lisa Marie was engaged to musician John Oszajca in 2000, but broke it off after meeting actor Nicolas Cage at a party.
She and Cage married in August 2002, only to file for divorce three months later.
Lisa Marie then settled down with another musician, guitarist Michael Lockwood. They married in 2006 and had twins together, but divorced ten years later after Lisa Marie falsely claimed she had found hundreds of child pornography images on his computer.
