It might not be quite the outfit her glamorous Downton Abbey character, Lady Rose Aldridge, would wear in public.
But Lily James still looked great in an olive jumpsuit, navy coat and baseball boots as she went house hunting with her mother and American boyfriend Michael Shuman in a leafy London suburb last week.
The 33-year-old actress – who is currently garnering rave reviews for her portrayal of former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson in Disney+ series Pam & Tommy – has toured £5million of properties.

She was seen engaged in animated conversation with her mother, actress Ninette Thomson, as she appeared to be checking the property details on her phone.
Rock musician Shuman, who celebrated his 37th birthday yesterday, took on the role of carrying the Burberry bag while the women chatted. At one point, he seemed happy standing out in the rain while his partner took shelter under her mother’s umbrella.
The couple were first linked in May last year when they embraced outside a Suffolk hotel. Miss James has since been seen with a gold ring on her engagement finger – most recently while observing Sir Paul McCartney in Glastonbury.
However, sources close to her have downplayed any suggestion of a formal engagement. Her boyfriend, who plays bass and keyboards with US band Queens Of The Stone Age, is just the latest celeb to woo her.
Her previous beau’s have included The Crown’s Matt Smith, whom she met while filming the horror comedy Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, actor Jack Fox and Captain America star Chris Evans.
Two years ago, she appeared close to Dominic West, her co-star in The Pursuit of Love, after they were photographed together in Rome. However, West, 52, and his wife Catherine later insisted their marriage was strong and they were “very still together”.
