Lil Nas X and Zedd are named in a $1 million lawsuit over the 2022 mansion party in Hollywood Hills

Lil Nas X and DJ Zedd are among those named in a lawsuit over an April 2022 party at a mansion in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills that the landlord said caused significant damage to the property.

The 23-year-old Old Town Road singer and the 33-year-old Russian-German DJ were named in the legal filing of the property’s owner, Daniel Fitzgerald, who owns several homes in the Tony area, TMZ reported after reviewing the court documents.

Fitzgerald told the court that as part of the lease, he told tenants they were not allowed to have parties on the premises.

The orders were violated in April 2022, Fitzgerald said in legal documents, when tenants hosted a soiree attended by 1,000 people, at which Lil Nas X — who was immortalized with a wax statue last year — performed and Zedd performed DJ duties.

Lil Nas X, Zedd and party organizers were all personally aware of the above orders but ignored them, Fitzgerald said in legal documents.

Fitzgerald said more than $25,000 in physical damage was caused to the property, with walls, ceilings, sofas and chairs requiring repairs.

According to the landlord, he also lost $40,000 in rental fees that he could have collected in the month that post-bash repairs were made.

Fitzgerald said the party also upset neighbors and got him in trouble with local authorities.

Both Lil Nas X and Zedd were paid at least $250,000 each for their performances at the party.

Fitzgerald has sought at least $1 million in compensatory and punitive damages in his lawsuit against the entertainers, sponsors and organizers of the bash.

Aside from the pending lawsuit, Lil Nas X seemed to start the new week off well, sitting front row for Coach during New York Fashion Week.

Other notable names in attendance included Zoey Deutch, Ice Spice and Camila Mendes for the label’s fall 2023 ready-to-wear collection show.

He was also spotted sitting between Julia Fox and Teyana Taylor at the LaQuan Smith Fall/Winter 2023 show.
