Leopard: Pro Russian hackers threaten retaliation for Panzer decision

Riga, Düsseldorf Pro-Russian hackers threaten retaliation for announced delivery of German Leopard tanks to Ukraine. Specifically, they announced cyberattacks against targets in Germany.

Shortly after the German government’s decision to support Ukraine with tanks became known on Tuesday night, the hacker group Killnet published a message on its Telegram channel on the subject and the note: “The apocalypse is closer”.

The group calls for a “comprehensive cyber attack on Germany” in which other hacker groups must participate. The campaign has the hashtag #DeutschlandRIP.

On Wednesday, the group published lists of possible targets for attacks, such as government and ministerial websites.

These include the Federal Government, the Federal Ministry of Finance and the financial supervisory authority Bafin, but also the Deutsche Bank and the Bundesbank, the police, the country’s airports and the Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
