Legendary country music star John Williamson will perform two intimate concerts at his own home in Queensland this June.

The 77-year-old True Blue singer will play the gigs in a shed he built himself on his property in Springbrook, in the Gold Coast hinterland.

Dubbed the ‘Willoshed’ concerts, fans can expect to hear the ‘Old Man Emu’ songwriter’s biggest hits during the two-hour daytime shows.

The Aussie star says he threw in “a sausage and a free beer” for concert-goers as part of the experience.

The shows will take place on Saturday 10th June followed by Sunday 11th June.

“We’re really sharing how lucky we are to have this place,” Williamson told 9Honey Celebrity on Saturday.

“We overlook all of the wilderness and rainforest and people just have a blast just being there, let alone the show.”

Elsewhere in the chat, Williamson revealed that the last few years of COVID restrictions and lockdowns have given the 24-time Golden Guitar winner an opportunity to reflect on his retirement.

He told the outlet that he’s confined himself to his 100-acre space during the pandemic and has spent time building a greenhouse and finding a run.

“I came from the country and now I’m back,” the Drover’s Boy hitmaker said of his country lifestyle.

The land of which he says “keeps me alive and creates me. As soon as I’m gone and I go on stage, I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s what I do.’ But I always find it harder to leave the house.”

Williamson, who has reportedly sold 4 million albums in Australia alone, has repeatedly spoken about quitting his guitar for good since 2021.

The three-time ARIA winner for Best Country Album Star said he’s preparing for retirement and is now ready to do less.

In 2010, the winner of the Order of Australia was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
