When the couple started working from home, the biggest issue was the disparity in household chores and family support. Everything is out of harmony, whether it’s washing the dishes, cleaning up the house or simply being more present in the children’s lives.

The survey was conducted in China and South Korea with about 223 dual income couples. They were asked how much work they do remotely and how this affects family responsibilities.

Through this research, it was found that men and women do not have the same experience of working from home. Mostly, you there is much more House work as you. In other words, for women, having their husbands work from home did not mean a reduction in their workload at all.

But we also have to consider the flexibilities. When men’s working hours are more flexible, women can do more professional tasks, and the same is true for the opposite. As a result, husbands can share homes with their wives when their work schedules are more manageable.

The main aim of the study was to show the importance of flexibility and understanding, because in this way couples who do not have an office option and have to share the domestic tasks can actually implement the new way of working with understanding and complicity.
