American singer Lady Gaga has published on her Instagram profile the first photo of the sequel to the movie “Joker”, which will be her new movie in which she will star alongside Joaquin Phoenix.
The film will be entitled “Joker: Folie à Deux” (Joker: madness for two), the phrase used by the versatile artist to accompany this first snapshot published on the networks.
In this photo, the performer of “Born This Way” can be seen in close-up with Phoenix, who is characterized as a wild card character both in profile and in dramatic pose.
Lady Gaga confirmed last August that she will star alongside Joaquin Phoenix in the long-awaited sequel to Joker, which will be released on October 4, 2024, exactly five years after the debut of the first film.
Unlike the gritty tone of the original film, this sequel will be a musical and will again be directed by Todd Phillips. In it, Gaga is supposed to bring Harley Quinn, the Joker’s accomplice, to life.
The singer was previously nominated for an Oscar for the 2019 film A Star Is Born, while her partner received the same award for Best Actor for the role of Joker. .
