Kylie Jenner announces son’s name as Aire, which translates to penis in Arabic, according to social media users

“The poor kid gets renamed again!” Kylie Jenner’s fans cringe at the meaning of her son’s VERY unusual name in Arabic

A number of social media users reacted to Kylie Jenner’s Saturday announcement of her son’s name as Aire, which many users pointed out is slang for penis in Arabic.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians beauty, 25, welcomed her second child with rapper Travis Scott, 31, on February 2 as they are also parents to daughter Stormi, four.

The Los Angeles-born makeup mogul shared pictures of her son with the caption, “AIRE.”

The revelation drew a flurry of reactions, with journalist Antoinette Lattouf tweeting: “Um, should someone tell Kylie Jenner that she renamed her son Aire, which is a common Arabic expression for ‘my penis’, right? Anyway, I doubt many people have noticed. After all, Arabic is only spoken by around 415 million people.”

One user said in response to Lattouf: “Leave her alone. I’m waiting for the episode where one of her sisters says, “Little Aire is getting so big.”

Others reacted to the reveal with memes, one-liners and GIFs, with one person saying, “I’m sorry but these jokes about Kylie Jenner calling her son Aire will never get old. Anyone who disagrees is ad*** (see what I did there).’

One user, noting how the Kylie Cosmetics entrepreneur and Scott had previously named the kid Wolf, said, “This poor kid is getting renamed again.”

Jenner addressed the name change back in September while appearing on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

“We didn’t really have a name, I just thought it would come to mind when we saw it and it didn’t,” the Life of Kylie personality previously said. “We had to sign the birth certificate twenty-four hours beforehand, otherwise they just register him without his name and he doesn’t get a social security number.

“So I felt the pressure to choose a name, and then the day before we signed, Khloe said, ‘What about Wolf?’

She continued, “I like WW so we just put Wolf Webster in that moment. Right after I signed the birth certificate, I was like, “What did I just do?” It’s part of his story, but his name has changed.”
