Kyiv, “parade” of Russian vehicles destroyed by Ukrainian forces

(ANSA) — ROME, AUGUST 20 — Ukrainian authorities have moved dozens of Russian vehicles destroyed in the fighting — tanks, armored vehicles, trucks and more — to central Kyiv, turning it into an attraction for citizens.

Photos and videos have gone viral on social media, taken by various international outlets including the UK’s Chron.

Entire families flocked to the central Khreshchatyk Street. Children climbed the burned-out tanks and broken guns, their parents photographed them. A smaller number of destroyed Russian vehicles had previously been shown on Mykhailivskyi Square.

The parade of enemy vehicles will take place on the eve of celebrations of Ukraine’s independence on August 24.

Celebrations where gatherings were banned over fears of a rocket launch on the capital, local media reported. (HAND).
