(ANSA) – ROME, 25 JAN – “I officially confirm that an internal escalation of the war in Russia is inevitable. And different attacks will be performed against different targets.
Why, by whom and for what purpose is another question, and we cannot discuss that today. There is a lack of sufficient information,” said Zelensky adviser Mykhailo Podolyak in an interview with blogger Michael Nucky, quoted by UNIAN.
Podolyak stressed that Ukrainian forces are not attacking Russia, but that Russians can “feel the war” even in the big cities. “The logic of war and escalation within Russia will be inevitable. Run down and rotten cities like Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg that think they live in a different reality will see this,” the official explained. And he emphasized that the threatening escalation in Russia is an internal problem of the attacking country, which will arise from “the childishness of the Kremlin leadership,” Podolyak added.
