‘I’m scared!’ Kit Harington reveals he and his wife Rose Leslie are expecting their second child together
Kit Harington has revealed he and his wife Rose Leslie are expecting their second child together and admitted he’s “scared”.
The 36-year-old actor made the happy announcement during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The Game of Thrones star was talking about his baby son – whose name has not been released – when he confirmed the news.
Kit said: “He’s about to get the shock of his life, which is that he’s about to have a brother or sister.”
The actor then confirmed that Rose, 35, is pregnant with their second child and admitted he’s terrified of welcoming another tot into the family.

He said: “You know, with your first baby, you walk on clouds and dance through fields and daisies for nine months? Well, the man is anyway.
“This time the reality check comes a lot shorter and you get practical, like very quickly.”
Kit then said he and Rose had tried to explain to their toddler that he was going to have a sibling, but he “don’t quite get it conceptually yet.”
He said, “We’re trying to prepare him for that and we’re pointing at Rose’s stomach and we’re like, ‘Mummy’s baby, Mummy’s baby,’ and he’s pointing at his stomach and he’s like, ‘My baby, my baby.'”
Kit and Rose met while filming their hit HBO series Game of Thrones and began dating in 2011.
They announced their engagement in The Times newspaper in September 2017 and were married the following June in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
Rose was spotted visibly pregnant in September 2020 and their son was first spotted in February 2021, although the couple have never confirmed when he was born.
Leslie admitted she found it “brutal” being torn away from him back when she was filming for the upcoming six-episode Game of Thrones series.

“There was a part of me that doubted if I could make it through six months. It was so tough,” she said of the commitment.
It comes after Kit previously called parenting “the most physically demanding” thing he’s ever done.
Speaking to The Weekend Australian, he said: “Honestly my back is broken. I go to the gym quite often, but there’s something that’s the most physically demanding of having a kid,” he said.
The actor went on to praise single parents, saying: “I don’t know how you do it. Because it’s more exhausting than anything I’ve done on Thrones.”
Elsewhere, the actor is “happy” and “satisfied” with his life since becoming a father.
“I have a child and my relationship is brilliant … I’m a very, very happy, content, sober man,” he said, referring to his previous battle with alcohol addiction.
