While Kirstie indulged her Celebrity Big Brother co-stars with some of her past romantic endeavors, she paid special attention to Travolta.

“I think I kissed Travolta,” she confessed. ‘I almost ran off and married John. I loved him, I still love him.’

However, her marriage at the time prevented her from developing a relationship with the Saturday Night Fever star.

“If I hadn’t been married, I would have married him and been on a plane because he has his own plane,” she said.

Although she did not specify when her infatuation with Travolta peaked, the two appeared together in the 1989 comedy Look Who’s Talking and returned for the sequels Look Who’s Talking Too (1990) and Look Who’s Talking Now (1993). .

The first film was a smash hit, starring Kirstie as a single pregnant woman who falls in love with a cab driver (Travolta) after he takes her to the hospital to give birth.

‘[It was] The hardest decision I ever made because I was madly in love with him — we were fun and fun together,” she said. “It wasn’t a sexual relationship because I will not cheat on my husband.

“But you know, I think there are things that are way worse than sexual relationships than cheating on someone that way,” she added. “I find what I did even worse because I actually let myself fall in love with him and have been in love with him for a long time.”

In the same interview, she admitted that her infatuation with Travolta continued after his marriage to Preston in 1991, which eventually put an end to the flirting.

“Kelly came up to me, and they were married at the time, and she said, ‘Um, why are you flirting with my husband? “, she recalled. “And that was sort of when I had to make a decision and that was pretty much the end of it.”

However, she stressed that it was best for the two not to be in a relationship because they were “so alike”.

“It would be like two blazing stars just fizzled out,” she said.

In a moving post remembering his late friend, Travolta wrote that Kirstie was “one of the most extraordinary relationships I’ve ever had.”

He included a sweet photo of the two longtime friends gazing lovingly into each other’s eyes while beaming.

“I love you, Kirstie,” he added. ‘I know we will meet again.’

Kirstie has also previously shared how she fell in love with her former co-star Patrick Swayze, who died in 2009 at the age of 57, years before she worked at Travolta.

The two shared the screen while appearing in the 1985 miniseries North And South.

“I would have loved to have had an affair with Patrick Swayze, but we were both married so I wouldn’t have run away [with him]’ she revealed on Celebrity Big Brother UK.

“I kissed him and wished I could have had an affair, but I’m a big believer in fidelity and he was married,” she explained. “When you’re out shooting a movie, it’s very easy to fall in love with your lead actor. Very, very easy.”

Part of what made it so difficult not to fall in love with the lead man was how much time they were forced to spend together for work.

‘Think about it. We shot North and South for a year. So for a year you’re with that person and it’s just hard I guess,” she said.

Kirstie was married twice, first to Bob Alley from 1970 to 1977, although the marriage fizzled when she realized the spark between the two had faded.

In 1983, she tied the knot again with actor Parker Stevenson, 70, with whom she shares son William, 30, and daughter Lillie, 28.

The couple later divorced in 1997.

Two years after their divorce was finalized, Parker confessed to People that he and Kirstie were “not friends now,” though at the time they still kept in touch regularly to help their children’s parents.

“Kirstie and I are polar opposites,” he claimed. “That’s what made it so interesting,” even though opposites “do not make a good marriage.”

There was no hint of that tension in a tribute Parker shared on Instagram for his late ex-wife after her death was announced.

“Dear Kirstie,” he began, “I am so grateful for our years together and for the two incredibly beautiful children and now grandchildren we have.

He added, “You’re missed,” before sending his “love.”

Kirstie’s last major public relationship after marrying Parker was with her 54-year-old Nevada costar James Wilder, who was 17 years her junior.

The two met on the set of the film, which was released in 1997. They were quickly engaged, but the two split after two years together.

Speaking to Dateline in 2004, Kirstie seemed to imply the relationship was a mistake while implying that her romance judgment was impaired.

“I just did a real soul search. And I didn’t like me. I didn’t like what I had become. I would kind of become something I wasn’t,” she said. “I didn’t like the way I was in relationships. I didn’t like who I voted for. I made a lot of mistakes. So I decided to really focus my life on what was important to me and what I wanted to be known for myself.
