Kevin Federline interview won’t air in full because some claims are ‘too hurtful’, says interviewer

Kevin Federline’s upcoming interview – which Britney Spears has already spoken out against – will not air in full because it’s “too hurtful”.

That’s what interviewer Daphne Barak said on Monday’s British morning show Lorraine. She also shared why Federline and the former couple’s teenage sons – Preston, 16, and Jayden, 15 – wanted to do the reveal video, which will air as an hour-long special later in the month, claiming it was because “nobody thought.” hated about her” and they “were hurt.” Barak also claimed that Britney’s estranged mother, Lynne Spears, who is still in touch with Federline, wanted to attend but was too “terrified.”

“I think he just felt it [that] It’s not really about Britney, it’s about fatherhood in the eye of the storm,” Barak said of the former backup dancer, who has reportedly not given an interview in over 10 years.

She continued, “I think we forgot that there are two children [and] Somehow these kids turned out not only to be handsome, but super talented, super creative, very kind. Someone responsible for raising her – against all odds and out of the public eye – are her father, Kevin Federline, who had full custody, and her stepmother, Victoria.

Barak insisted that “not just ‘K-Fed’ felt ready to talk,” but “the whole family … because they were hurt.” And not by Britney. It is not your fault. But the situation is really, really painful.” She said her “team spent a lot of time with his family — he’s not the only interviewee.”

Asked if Lynne would attend – after Federline discussed how he maintained a relationship with his former mother-in-law in a preview – Barak said: “Lynne basically wanted to attend. But again, it’s very complicated this family. They’re all afraid of the “social media backlash.” She said Lynne spoke to Preston and Jayden in her presence when she was conducting interviews at the Federline home.

Barak said some of the claims in the interviews were so explosive they wouldn’t make it into the air.

The story goes on

“Actually, we’re not going to reveal a lot of things because we think it’s going to be too hurtful,” she said. “I don’t think anyone intentionally meant to hurt these boys – and I’m sure Britney loves her. They come in to talk about her with a lot of love – and they love her – but basically no one thought of her. “

Barak claimed the story is really “about the father and the boys and how he managed to successfully bring them against the odds despite all that drama,” she said. “So basically it’s not ‘Kevin vs. Britney.’ It wasn’t about her. It was about his fatherhood – and the whole family wanted it.”

While it’s “not about her,” the early highlights of it certainly attack Britney’s character. In a DailyMail.com preview, Federline – who split from Brit in 2006 – said the boys had chosen not to see her – and that it had been “for a couple of months”. They did not attend her June wedding to Sam Asghari.

Federline said his sons were embarrassed by Britney’s sexy Instagram photos, saying, “I’m trying to explain to them, ‘Look, maybe this is just another way she’s trying to express herself.’ But that doesn’t change the fact of what it does to them.” He said it’s hard for teens in high school to deal with.

Federline spoke about staying in touch with Lynne, who the boys call “Memaw,” and how she visits the house. “My priority has always been: It’s about what’s good for the boys,” he said.

Federline also sided with Spears’ father Jamie when it came to implementing the pop star’s conservatory 13 years ago. He said it “saved” Britney. Meanwhile, Britney has accused Jamie of conservatory abuse.

Federline also said Jamie is just a person who “really cares about his family.” However, what hasn’t been said – yet – is that Kevin obtained a restraining order against Jamie on behalf of Preston and Jayden over an alleged physical disagreement between grandfather and grandchildren.

A spokesman for Barak told Yahoo Entertainment that a “powerful story” about fatherhood will be revealed “in very challenging circumstances.” The rep also said Federline was not paid for the interview and “and did not ask to be paid.”

Over the weekend, Britney lashed out at Federline in the interview news, saying: “I am saddened to hear that my ex-husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children. As we all know, raising teenagers is not easy for anyone. It worries me that the reasons are based on my Instagram… it was WAY before Instagram. I gave them everything… Just one word: WORSE… I’ll say it… My mother said to me, ‘You should GIVE them to their father.’”

Britney’s new husband also slammed Federline, saying that as the boys grow up, they “might realize that the ‘hard’ part was having a father who hasn’t done much role modeling in over 15 years.”

He also said that the father of six’s “gravy train will soon end” when the boys turn 18, “which likely explains the timing of these hurtful comments.” I don’t know him personally and I have nothing against him other than trying to vilify my wife.”
