Kate Hudson adds another talent to her repertoire.

The 44-year-old acclaimed actress is preparing to release music this year and she recently opened up about her progress. Speaking to E! On the red carpet at the Critics’ Choice Awards last week, she told News, “I have 26 songs. We dismantle them.”

The beauty has close ties to the music world: she played a groupie in Almost Famous, sang a song in the movie Nine, was married to singer Chris Robinson and engaged to rocker Matt Bellamy.

“It was just an amazing, creative, totally immersive experience for me and something I had to pull out, and I’m pulling out!” She gushed.

Kate, who has teased her musical talent in the past, added: “We’ll see what happens.”

The daughter of entertainment legend Goldie Hawn first announced her plans to make music last December while attending The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

“I love to sing,” Kate told Jimmy, before revealing with a giggle, “I just feel weird saying that — I made a record.”

The blonde beauty continued, “I’ve been making a record for about a year.

“I had this thing in COVID. Every time you do interviews, people say, ‘Do you have any regrets?’ I say, ‘Oh, I’m in my early 40s. Not yet.”

“But during COVID I was like, ‘What am I doing? I’ve been writing music since I was 19. And I never shared them. “I just thought that was one of my big regrets,” she admitted.

The mother of three clarified: “I have no expectations. I just want to put out one record. So I do it.’

Hudson gave fans a taste of her musical prowess in a scene from the 2003 blockbuster How to Lose a Man in 10 Days.

In the film, she and co-star Matthew McConaughey performed a wobbly rendition of Carly Simon’s 1972 tune “You’re So Vain.”

And a year ago, in another Tonight Show appearance, the entrepreneur stunned fans by singing a doo-wop version of Ariana Grande’s song 7 Rings.
