Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce announces he will be hosting Saturday Night Live next month as he makes a revelation on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon just days after winning the Super Bowl

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has announced he will be hosting one of America’s most popular TV shows, Saturday Night Live, in March — less than a month after winning the Super Bowl.

The 33-year-old made the revelation while appearing on the latest episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, just a day after a rowdy Super Bowl parade in Missouri.

“We have a big announcement that we’re going to be making here on the show tonight. I’m very excited about this. They will be back in our building in a few weeks. Can you tell why you’re coming?’ asked Fallon Kelce.

“Sure,” the two-time Super Bowl champion replied. “I mean growing up I was a huge guy like Farley, Farrell, Fallon, a guy who grew up and yeah I watched Saturday Night Live with my mum.

“And it’s an absolute honor and privilege to host SNL on March 4th.”

The eight-time Pro Bowler added that he was nervous about appearing on the show alongside another newcomer, country-pop singer Kelsea Ballerino.

However, Fallon reassured the NFL star by telling him he could sing and that he was “so charming” and “funny”.

“Thank you,” replied a nervous Kelce, who had six receptions for 81 yards in Sunday’s 38-35 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

The tight end also had a touchdown in the first quarter of the Kelce Bowl against his 35-year-old older brother, Jason, who plays center for Philly.

The two siblings became the first pair of brothers in Super Bowl history to play each other.

In their podcast, New Heights, they summarized their different experiences in building America’s favorite show.

In the latest episode of the podcast, Jason and Travis also opened up about an “amazing week” for their mother Donna, who wore the Eagles and Chiefs colors on Sunday.
