This would mean that Boateng – unlike the lower court judgment – ​​would have a criminal record. The 34-year-old can appeal again. The court found it proven that Boateng hit, injured and insulted his then-partner on a joint Caribbean vacation in 2018.

The 2014 world champion has already been convicted in two cases of bodily harm, in the first instance only in one case. Boateng’s supporters demanded an acquittal on Wednesday. They complained that his client had been harmed. Former Bayern player Boateng is currently under contract with Olympique Lyon.
