Jo Brand’s musician daughter Maisi has become a sensation on the video streaming app TikTok.

The budding singer, 21, has been trying to expand on her boyfriend’s culinary tastes and has shared a series of videos online to document it.

The beauty explained that her boyfriend Aflie “only eats chicken nuggets and chips,” and gave him a new range of foods to try, from burgers to omelettes.

And with 131.2k followers on TikTok, Maisi has shared a series of videos with her boyfriend of three years, Alfie.

The series, titled Teach My Boyfriend to Eat, has garnered millions of views and has drawn in fans eager to see how things pan out.

Maisi has explained that the only meal her boyfriend eats is chicken nuggets and fries, while she only snacks on certain foods like toast.

On the show, Alfie has tried different foods and made breakthroughs with things like pasta with pesto and halloumi.

But not everything went so well as he wasn’t a fan of McDonald’s burgers or Dairylea cheese triangles.

In her latest video, Maisi got her boyfriend a single McDonald’s cheeseburger and took away all the ingredients except for the meat, cheese and ketchup.

“I’m so nervous when we started making these videos I always said the big one was a burger. I’ve always wanted to eat a burger, it looks cathartic, there’s a certain romance to eating a burger that I’ve never experienced,” Alfie explained.

Maisi watched nervously as he took a bite and felt some hope as she said, “You’re chewing, chewing is good,” but quickly changed her tune as he turned away from the camera to spit out the burger.

“Okay guys I think you’ll have seen it, that’s probably a no,” she told viewers.

But all was not lost as Aflie tried another bite with more ketchup and this time managed to swallow it, with the pair making progress.

Speaking on Angela Scanlon’s Thanks A Million podcast, Jo said, “I make jokes about my husband and people say to me, ‘Oh, then why don’t you just divorce him?’ That was a joke. you know i don’t know

“I think one day I’ll just have to post a photo of myself on Instagram and actually try to kill him. So yes. To please all the people who want me to do it.’

In 2021, she opened up about her own body image, admitting she doesn’t think she’s pretty, adding that she’s not “what men are looking for” as she’s “not skinny” with “flowing curls.” .

But despite her comments, Jo insisted she “don’t like” her looks.

She explained, “I think the thing is, it’s a very weird thing that when you’re absolutely gorgeous you don’t really get a sense of what it feels like to be desperate.

“Obviously I’m not saying it happens all the time, but I also think if you’re anything like me, I don’t like the way I look. But I know I’m not pretty.

“I know I’m not what men are looking for because I’m not skinny and I don’t have long, flowing curls and nice eyelashes and all these assholes.”

She continued, “And so it’s very difficult for really attractive women to understand the mental state of not-so-attractive women and vice versa.

“So I would say as a teenager I got quite a few setbacks, but also kind of horrible ones, not really meant to be, just dismissive.

“And when you’re really keen on someone being fired as a teenager, it’s pretty tough work emotionally.”

The Clapham-born actress also opened up about her dry jokes, saying many performers become exaggerated parts of themselves when they’re on stage.

She has been known to jokingly make comments like “I hate men” or “Let’s kill them all” to evoke a crowd reaction.

However, her stage persona becomes an issue when the public begins to believe that she really is.
