“It’s way worse than anyone imagines,” the source told the publication, adding that the actor is aware he “almost died.”

“Doctors tend to delay surgeries to allow time for the body’s natural healing process and that is the case here. The right side of Jeremy’s chest was crushed and his torso collapsed. He also had a severe head wound that was bleeding and a leg injury.”

Jeremy Renner also stars in the series Mayor of Kingstown, and recently the film’s advertising campaign removed wounds from his character’s face out of respect for the actor’s health.

Jeremy Renner is already back home

Jeremy Renner is out of the hospital and back home after being seriously injured in a snow plow accident.

The actor shared the update on Twitter, writing that he was able to attend the Mayor of Kingstown season 2 premiere with his family.

The update comes after more than two weeks of hospitalization. Renner suffered blunt force trauma to his chest and orthopedic injuries after being hit by a snowplow on his Nevada property on the first day of 2023.

He was flown to a local hospital and operated on the next day, where he remained in critical but stable condition.

The Mayor of Kingstown airs on Paramount+.
