Jeremy Renner confirmed he was discharged from hospital and recovering at home after a serious snowplough accident on New Year’s Day that left him behind critical condition.
The actor was released two weeks after the serious injuries he sustained while shoveling snow near his home in Nevada.
Fans learned that the 52-year-old actor has returned home thanks to a tweet from the star on Jan. 16. “Out of my recovering brain fog, I was so excited to watch episode 201 at home with my family.” He responded about the premiere of his show’s new season: “Mayor of Kingstown”.

Renner has been in the hospital since Jan. 1 after being accidentally hit by a large snowplow near his home in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. According to his publicist, the actor suffered “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries”which required multiple surgeries.
Two days later, the interpreter reassured his fans with a picture on his Instagram account of him lying in a hospital bed, his face visibly injured.
“Thank you all for your kind words,” Renner told fans in an Instagram selfie from her hospital bed on Jan. 3. “I’m too confused to write right now, but I’m sending everyone lots of love,” he said.
The actor had to spend his birthday in hospital and it is said that apart from already being home to fully recover from his injuries, it will take him a long time to recover. At the moment it is not known how his career will continue.
The accident left the actor with chest and orthopedic injuries that could require up to 10 years two years to fully recover.

A source close to the actor shared his situation with The New York Post “It’s a lot worse than anyone knows.”
“Jeremy is aware of the fact that he almost died.“, he added. “It is said that the damage to Jeremy’s chest was so extensive that it had to be rebuilt with an operation,” another source added to Radar Online.
“He’s had two surgeries so far and will likely need more on his leg in the next few weeks,” he said. “Doctors tend to delay surgeries to allow the body’s natural healing process to take place, and that is the case here.”
