Jean Francois Mercier was in the company ofAlexandre Beret on the show La Tour and Confidentialities were there.
In fact, during his visit, the comedian opened up about his recent breakup and career, among other things.
“I know you’ve been single recently, how are you?” Alex asked Jean-François.
“It’s okay, it’s something I knew was coming, a breakup is never easy, you know that. Me, it wasn’t my choice, it wasn’t my decision. Me, this girl I thought I would be with until the end of my days. Sure, it’s a shame to get over it, but on the other hand, honestly, life is short… do you want to spend time with someone who doesn’t love you anymore?” the humorist openly opened up about his breakup.
He added that he takes a more pragmatic view of things this time as this isn’t his first breakup.
“I think my ex was a lot more fun than I can be. Someone meets us, then he says: how can someone so bright be with someone so dark?” admitted Jean-François Mercier with great frankness.
The latter also agrees to discuss his weight loss in the margins of an extremely well put together interview by Alexandre Barrette, revealing that he has lost no less than fifty pounds and has weighed everything he eats.
The star also shared how she views his humor and the type of character he’s created over the years.
“I like my clothes when they look fat, but it’s not (…) François Avard described me, (he) said to me: You’re like Homer Simpson, but intelligent, so ten times more dangerous”, Jean – François Mercier joked, a very interesting analogy!
The comedian also testifies that he’s not quite the “big basement” character we see on stage, as he would be a bit different in real life.
