Jay Leno, 72, looked unharmed behind the wheel of his car after breaking his collarbone

Comedian Jay Leno looked unharmed behind the wheel of his car just weeks after breaking his collarbone in a motorcycle accident.

Leno, 72, broke his collarbone, two ribs and both kneecaps on Jan. 17 while touring around Las Vegas on his vintage motorcycle.

The former talk show host was “leaning on the laundry” as he pulled into a parking lot and was obliterated by a length of wire stretched across the roadway with no sign above it.

The accident came months after Leno suffered devastating burns to his face after a vintage steam car he was working on blew up.

And to add salt to the wound, his car show Jay Leno’s Garage on CNBC was canceled as the network recently shifted its show schedule to focus on primetime shows like Shark Tank and Undercover Boss.

Despite his losing streak, the actor looked more than happy and completely unscathed on Friday morning as he pulled into his warehouse in Burbank, California.

Speaking to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, he admitted he was “okay” after his motorcycle accident and was “working this weekend.”

He explained how the accident happened: “I was turning down a side street and crossing a parking lot and unbeknownst to me a guy had pulled a wire across the parking lot with no flag hanging.

“You know, I didn’t see it until it was too late. It just dragged me onto the laundry and, boom, knocked me off my bike. The bike kept going and you know how that works.’

The accident was the second accident involving a vehicle Leno has suffered in recent months, as he suffered burns when a steam engine exploded in his face in November.

The legendary TV host and his friend Dave Killackey were working on one of his beloved classic cars at their LA mansion on November 12 when his 1907 White Steam Car caught fire.

Leno credits his friend Killackey with saving his life. Killackey springed into action, wrapping his arms around Leno to smother the fire.

Leno was taken to the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills Hospital in LA where he was treated for third degree burns and was treated for 10 days.

Leno described this incident in a previous interview, saying: “The fuel line was clogged, so I was under it. It sounded clogged and I said, “Blow some air through the line,” and so he did.

“And suddenly, boom, I got a face full of gas. And then the pilot light came on and my face caught fire.’

Shocking photos of Leno’s wounds from the blast show his face was covered in horrific burns – and his entire face had to be wrapped in bandages.

dr Peter Grossman told NBC News that Leno suffered “relatively severe” burns on “about seven percent of his body,” including his face, chest and hands.

Leno said his recent fall won’t keep him from work – and he’s scheduled to headline a comedy show at the Encore Theater for the first time on March 31.

Jay Leno’s Garage, which he has hosted since 2014, was canned this week.

The show – filmed at Jay Leno’s Big Dog Garage in Burbank – is described as “a star-studded, action-packed exploration of all things automotive.”

The seventh and final season debuted in September 2022, although neither CNBC nor Leno have commented on the cancellation yet.
