Jane Fonda looked glamorous while attending the annual Vienna Opera Ball in Vienna, Austria on Thursday.

The legendary actress, 85, looked elegant in a textured jacquard dress that cinched at her waist before falling to her ankle.

She paired the stunning ivory number with a pair of metallic stiletto heels and carried a black velvet coat slung over her arm.

Jane accessorised with a pair of glittery hoop earrings and carried a cream colored clutch.

Her lustrous gray hair was styled to perfection and she capped off her sophisticated look with a slick of shimmering eyeshadow.

Jane is a big part of why exercise and physical fitness have become such a big part of pop culture, and in a recent interview she explained her reasons for exercising.

The movie star started the Jane Fonda workout in 1979, and now, 44 years later, the Grace And Frankie star is still touting the benefits of sweating.

“You have to be able to make love,” she said Wednesday at the opening of H&M’s Move Studio in Brooklyn. “I don’t remember much [about that]but I remember you need flexibility!’

Last year Fonda – who still does her iconic workout to this day – was named the face of the H&M Move campaign, and four decades after she popularized leotards for suburban women, she’s still touting the virtues of getting up and moving.

“You have to stay strong,” she said. “I have a grandson who is three years old and I can still pick him up.

‘I mean I have to bend my knees and you know it takes a long time to get him up there but I can still pick him up. You want to be able to carry your own bags.’

But the Barbarella star wasn’t always a fitness fanatic. In fact, she didn’t start exercising until she was in her late 30s.

“I didn’t know it mattered until I was in my 30s,” said the 80 for Brady actress. “I had a ‘constant period’ all through high school so I couldn’t go to the gym — anything to get out of the gym.”

“It wasn’t until my late 30s [or] Early 40’s when I actually started getting active and life before I got active wasn’t nearly as good as it was when the movement started.’

And flexibility isn’t the only reason Fonda fell in love with physical fitness. She also found it helped her mood.

“I come from a long line of really depressed people, and the best way to combat depression is to keep moving,” she said.

The 9-to-5 star announced in December that non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which she was diagnosed in September, was in remission.

“I won,” she commented.

And considering her age and health, the On Golden Pond star now works as healthy, not skinny.

“Wanting to be bone thin is not good. It’s not good for your health and it’s not good for your spirit to be so deprived,” she said.
