James Gunn explains casting decisions at DC Studios

DC Studios head James Gunn took to his social media to comment on how the studio’s upcoming films will choose their cast.

On his official Twitter profile Gunn commented on the casting decisions for the upcoming films of DC Studioswhich makes it clear that the most important thing is to choose actors who fit each role.

look what James Gunn stated below:

“We have hundreds of roles to fill. As I’ve always done, some will be new faces, some will be actors I’ve worked with before, and some will be actors you know I’ve never worked with. What is that? The most important thing is that the actor fits the role and is easy to work with.” said Gunn.

James Gunn and Peter Saffron Signed through 2026 and will be responsible for overseeing film, television and animation efforts in the newly formed division of Warner Bros. Pictureswhich replaces the DC movies.

The filmmaker focuses on the creative side, while the producer is responsible for the commercial negotiation area.

We know DC Studios will operate independently, much like Marvel Studios did in Walt Disney Company.

“We are honored for the opportunity to manage these DC characters that we have loved since childhood. We can’t wait to work with the world’s most talented writers, directors and actors to create an integrated universe that still allows individual expression for the artists involved.”

They said in an official statement at the time of the announcement.

“Our commitment to Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Harley Quinn and the rest of the DC pantheon is matched only by the wonder of the human possibilities these characters represent. We want to reinvigorate the cinematic experience around the world by telling some of the greatest, most beautiful and greatest stories ever told.”

Both will report directly to David ZaslavCEO of Warner Bros. Discoveryin close cooperation with De Luca and the company’s other cameraman, Pamela Abdy.
