Jakob Chychrun got out again

The Jakob Chychrun saga continued on Monday when head coach André Tourigny confirmed he will no longer play for the Arizona Coyotes.

Chychrun is in demand as the National Hockey League (NHL) trade deadline approaches. To avoid injury, however, the Coyotes decided to put him aside Saturday against the Blues in St. Louis. That will be the case again Tuesday against the Predators in Nashville.

“[Chychrun] will stay away from training until something happens,” the Quebec driver said, according to comments from the Sportsnet network.

The move certainly has something to do with Chychrun struggling to dodge the infirmary since his 2016-17 NHL debut. He never played more than 68 games, and that was exactly in his freshman season.

This season, the 24-year-old Floridian has seven goals and 28 points in 36 games, showing an excellent +8 difference, with the club claiming the fifth-worst overall difference. In his career he scored a total of 60 goals and 170 points in 373 games.
