It’s the end for Marie-Claude Barrette’s show – 7 Jours

Marie-Claude Barrette will not be fronting her morning show Marie-Claude next fall, which TVA has decided not to renew after two seasons.

Produced by TVA Productions in association with Quebecor Content, the 10am Monday-Wednesday Rendezvous show will finally leave the airwaves on April 12. This tray makes it possible to discuss many useful topics with several guests, both in the living room and at the large table.

The broadcaster said Tuesday that it “will be making changes to its morning lineup next fall.”

The 54-year-old communicator, known for her good humor, curiosity and big heart, was impossible to talk to.

13 years of daily broadcasts
Marie-Claude Barrette, wife of Mario Dumont, himself a presenter and political analyst on TVA and LCN, will be in the daily lives of Quebecers for 13 seasons, she who worked on “Deux filles le matin” from 2009 then, from 2011 to 2013, co-hosted this program with Isabelle Racicot and then with Annie-Soleil Proteau. She helmed “Two girls in the morning” solo from 2014 through spring 2021, before giving way to the show with her first name the following fall. On October 24th the 100th edition of “Marie-Claude” was presented.

Whatever the subject, she approaches them with great delicacy,” added Denis Dubois, Vice President of Original Content at Quebecor Content.
