“Everyone is subject and I am no better than anyone else,” says Pericles after the robbery
A day after sharing a moment of horror with his family during a car theft in the city of Santo André, in the greater São Paulo area, singer Péricles said early Saturday (18) that he intends to move on with life and forget the episode the help of the carnival.
The singer performed early this Saturday (18) at the Camarote Bar Brahma in the Anhembi Sambadrome and said that “everyone is a victim” of violence in São Paulo.
“Carnival moves us. And the people who came to enjoy it expect the best from us,” he said.
“We were robbed, it was terrible. But everyone is subject and I’m no better than anyone else. Life goes on, let’s go. God is greater and we know nothing,” he added.
The singer thanked fans and friends for the affection after Thursday night’s episode (16), saying that in 2023 he had even more reasons to enjoy this year’s celebration.
“Carnival is the big party everyone is waiting for. And being able to celebrate carnival, after confinement and everything that’s happened, is always the moment for us to lift our heads and say: It’s another moment for us to go ahead and celebrate. The small victories are worth celebrating.”

Singer Péricles’ luxury car, stolen by criminals, has been dismantled and found with virtually no parts. The vehicle was located in the east zone of São Paulo this Friday morning (17).

The PMs went to the crime scene and confirmed that it was Pericles’ car, a gray Land Rover Discovery.
The plainclothes police are trying to identify and arrest the criminals who fled in a car. The vehicle is valued at approximately R$300,000.
No one was arrested until the report was last updated. The case will be presented at the 70th PD.

Despite the fear, Pericles and his family were not attacked and were not injured during the attack.

The theft of the Land Rover was confirmed by the artist’s press office. Wanted, but informed that Pericles would not comment on the matter.

Investigation
The case was registered as theft of a vehicle in the 2nd Police District (DP) in Santo André. In addition to the car, the bandits also stole bank cards, documents and a backpack with the clothes of the daughters of Pericles.
The videos were originally published on the internet by the Viva ABC site. The crime happened around 8:30 p.m. in Vila Camilópolis.

Video shows hooded man
The images capture the moment when a hooded man approaches Pericles, his wife and the couple’s daughter and points a gun at the singer.
The attacker then gets into the Land Rover and drives away in the car. Soon after, a white Fiat Uno carrying another armed criminal provides cover for the accomplice. And the two vehicles flee.
The musician is one of Pagode’s national references, having joined Exaltasamba, a group formed in 1982 in São Bernardo do Campo, a city in the metropolitan area.
