Israel believes it has dealt a serious blow to Islamic Jihad in Gaza

DECODE – The Jewish state believes it has achieved its military and political goals, particularly by isolating the Hamas organization.

Israel gave itself a thumbs up for Operation Breaking Dawn in the Gaza Strip against Islamic Jihad. The army claims to have accomplished all of its objectives in three days, dealing a very severe blow to this organization, which is backed by Iran, the Jewish state’s number one enemy. The ceasefire reached on Sunday evening is holding for the time being. But the threats of a new round of clashes are far from over.

On paper, the results are indeed very positive. The military eliminated two of Islamic Jihad’s key senior military officials who were hiding in apartments in the Gaza Strip thanks to accurate information about their whereabouts.
