Mildred dos Santos, a successful actress at the beginning of television in the 1950s with TV Tupi and mother of sports announcer Galvão Bueno, died last Tuesday (24th) at the age of 93 in a hospital in Paraná.

In a message to the Notícias da TV website, the spokesman lamented the matriarch’s departure. “She went quietly” he said, still shaken by the loss. Mildred has been on palliative care for the past year due to the worsening of her illness.
“Today I woke up at 5:30 am and Dona Mildred, my mother, started leaving us, 12 days before her 94th birthday! Without suffering, with all the palliative care already lovingly applied in the intensive care unit of the Hospital Evangélico in Londrina. She left calmly after a great and full life here in our world.”said Galvao.
The wake will take place this Thursday (26th) from 10 a.m. in the Parque das Alamandas in Londrina (PR). The funeral will be held at the same location at 5 p.m. in a ceremony reserved for close friends and family. “God will receive her with great affection and love and her light will always shine brightly”concluded Galvao.
