Lily Allen and husband David Harbor wowed fans this week as they gave a tour of their incredible Brooklyn townhouse with Architectural Digest.
And it seems that viewers not only loved seeing the stunning home, but also how the private couple sweetly interacted.
In a sweet moment, the two spoke about their kitchen and Stranger Things star David, 47, revealed that singer Lily, 37, once asked about an “English kitchen” in her future home on one of their first dates.
Viewers flocked to Instagram to comment on Architectural Digest’s clip, and one wrote: “You seem to be having a blast. It was fun to watch.’

As they walked through the kitchen, Lily quipped, “[This is] our simple English cuisine!’
David then explained, “When I first met Lily Allen, we first went on a date and at one point you said to me, ‘I always wanted simple English cuisine.'”
Lily said it wasn’t their first date when she made the comment as she seemed too excited.
“That would be pretty daring on a first date, like, ‘Nice to meet you, by the way, English is the name of the kitchen.’
David laughed and then said sweetly, “I liked it, I kind of liked it, I was like, ‘Okay, let’s do this!'”

The New York-based couple, who tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2020, have opened up their home to Architectural Digest.

In the clip, they showed off their eye-catching tiger-print media room, luxury kitchen inspired by The Godfather, floral Paris-inspired rooms and a stunning walk-in closet full of designer goods.
On the ground floor, the two created a whimsical media room with tiger print carpet and a lounge to match.
“This is wild, my wife’s brain child,” says David in the clip.
Lily said the space is “relaxing” and said the couple watch movies and TV in the area, which leads to their backyard, which features a sauna and cold plunge pool.
There’s even a black toilet next to the media room, which David admitted was his idea.
One of the most impressive rooms, however, is the luxurious and oversized kitchen, which David says was designed with the cult film The Godfather in mind.

“It’s a multi-layered Italian design theme that’s based a bit on The Godfather movies. This Brooklyn neighborhood is an old Italian neighborhood and we liked the idea of incorporating that aesthetic,” he said.
“My priority for this space is that I wanted the light to bounce off the walls. It feels very luxurious, warm and functional,” Lily said.
The kitchen features cream cabinets, an oversized island bench, stove, dining table and lounge, and an oversized chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

The room is complete with a green paint job, floral designer wallpaper and a velvet green sofa.
“We have this double sided sofa so we can argue and relax at the same time,” Lily said, laughing.
One of their bathrooms continues the floral theme, with blue walls and quirky pink accents, including a fridge to match.
David also had gold swan faucets installed and dresser cabinets that they bought at auction, inspired by similar accents they saw at Versailles.
The actor admitted they wanted a “Parisian feel” to the room, leading Lily to add, “You wanted flowers and they delivered for your baby.”

On a quirky note, Lily also joked about the embroidered imprint they have in the room, which is about “sexually transmitted diseases.”
“You’ve had it since I’ve known you, by the way it’s amazing,” he said.
The couple then showed off their windowless pink bedroom, which had a vintage and retro feel.
Lily said her actor father, Keith Allen, bought her the flamingo artwork that now hangs over her and David’s pink bed.
“David, he’s a vampire, so we close these doors and he can sleep or watch TV until 2pm,” she said, laughing.

“It’s cool when you design a room with no windows… you make the bedroom a place for twosome activities… you make it almost like a cocoon,” David said.

“I think it’s really important to my kids and also a bit manipulative because I know they always come back to me on the weekends because they know there’s always a roast at three o’clock on a Sunday afternoon. You will always come home.”
