The National Police have confirmed the discovery of human remains on the dam of Monte de Ceuta where the lifeless body of 17-year-old Mohamed Ali Lamsseyeh was dumped a year ago, although they need to check if they match those of the young man. This point was confirmed by the Chief Commissioner of the National Police, Daniel Nogueroles, who brought these facts to the attention of the young man’s mother, Asma, who had gone to the police station to find out about the situation this afternoon.

The discovery happened this morning at the spot where two of those arrested said they threw the body of the minor. The place, located on Mount García Aldave, remains completely cordoned off by the National Police for the third day of the search this Thursday in this area where the detainees were transferred on Monday afternoon.

The three alleged perpetrators of the murder – an adult, an 18-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy – are now in preventive detention according to the judge’s decision. The National Police remain at the place where the body was dumped, awaiting the judges’ decision and the evidence from the samples collected over the past few hours.

More than thirty agents, accompanied by dogs specialized in searching for people and with the use of a drone, work in this place with numerous undergrowth that forest officials have forced to clear it to facilitate police work. An argument between the victim and one of the youths appears to have prompted the death of the young man, who was apparently struck by a baseball bat that was in the home of one of the detainees.

Mohamed Ali lost sight of him on January 13, 2022. Although it was initially thought that his disappearance might have been voluntary, his mother and family, residents of the El Gallo neighborhood, always insisted that the boy could not have gone alone. The three detainees were said to be “friends” of the missing person, residents of the neighborhoods of El Príncipe and Los Rosales, on the autonomous city’s border with Morocco, and in the same area where police arrested the suspected killer of a child a week ago , eight years old.
