They say that if you stay friends with your ex, don’t be over them romantically.
And Michael Clarke’s friendship with his former girlfriend Pip Edwards really hurt his relationship with his new flame Jade Yarbrough.
So much so that the couple were embroiled in a wild argument at a park in Noosa earlier this month over former Australia cricket captain Yarbrough cheating with the glamorous PE Nation designer.
Clarke is believed to have remained friends with Edwards after ending their whirlwind romance in December 2021.

At the time, a source told Chron Australia: “They are two best friends who decided to split up as a couple earlier this month but to continue their friendship.”
The longtime friends previously dated from early 2020 to February 2021.
They rekindled their romance in June of that year before calling it quits just months later in December.
Clarke also has an “amazing” friendship with his ex-wife Kyly, with whom he shares seven-year-old daughter Kelsey Lee.
He recently told Chron Australia: “You [Kelsey’s] have a beautiful mother. She has a beautiful mother who takes care of her as much as I do.”
“We have an amazing friendship and it’s all about making sure our daughter is cared for and cared for and learning the rules of life. There’s discipline and tough days, but that’s part of being a parent,” he continued.

Clarke’s friendship with his pip was the focus of dramatic footage obtained by The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday, which shows the cricketer being yelled at and hit by his angry girlfriend Yarbrough as she accuses him of cheating on her.
During the angry exchange, she claims Clarke slept with his ex-girlfriend on December 17 and texted her saying she was the “love of his life.”
The video, filmed in Noosa on January 10, begins with Yarbrough yelling at Clarke then slapping him in the face and pushing him away after insisting he never cheated on her.
‘Am I wrong? I’m damn wrong! You are a fucking liar. i can see everything You called her,” Yarbrough yells, apparently referring to messages between Clarke and Edwards.
Clarke then tries to assure Yarbrough that he did not sleep with Edwards on December 17, saying that he was with his accountant friend Anthony Bell that night.

“Baby, you’re wrong, you’re wrong,” Clarke insists. ‘Baby, baby, Belly was in the house. I swear on my life, I swear on my life… That’s not true, that’s not true.’
He then swears on his daughter Kelsey Lee’s life that he didn’t cheat on her.
But Yarbrough doesn’t believe his desperate protests and claims she spoke to Edwards.
“You’re damn king to lie to me. You are a piece of shit. I just spoke to her. What’s wrong with you?’ she howls.
Clarke again denied sleeping with Edwards, replying: “No, I didn’t. you can hit me That’s not true, that’s not true.’
Clarke appeared to have injured his hamstring in the melee after being knocked to the ground by Yarbrough when he was seen limping through the public park.

Yarbrough’s sister Jasmine, who was accompanied by her husband Karl Stefanovic, intervenes, grabbing her distraught younger sister’s arm and pulling her away.

As she is led away, Yarbrough is heard crying as she turns to Clarke and yells, “I f**king hate you!”
Clarke then tries to follow his girlfriend before unleashing a wave of anger on Stefanovic, presumably for walking away with the two sisters.
“Karlos, I can tell you now, shit, don’t go the fuck away. She can, she can hit me, but you, you shit,” says Clarke.
This comment incites anger in Jade, who defends her brother-in-law before punching Clarke in the face.
“You piece of shit, don’t fucking talk to him,” she yells.
Bell is heard telling the couple to stop, which falls on deaf ears.
During the angry exchange, Yarbrough accused Clarke of sleeping with his ex-girlfriend Pip Edwards (pictured) on December 17 and telling her she was the “love of his life”.
“Go hit me, hit me… do it again, you’re wrong, you’re bloody wrong,” Clarke tells his girlfriend.
Jade yells, “Oh, am I wrong? you fucked her [Edwards] December 17th you fucked her…you’re a fucking dog…I’ll show her every fucking message you’ve ever fucking sent me.
She then refers to a text she saw on Clarke’s phone inviting Edwards to come to India with him.

The two-minute clip ends with Jasmine and Bell breaking up the feuding couple.
“Stop, Jade, stop it,” Jasmine pleads, to which Bell adds, “Let it go, Jade.”
According to witnesses, the ugly altercation happened in front of small children nearby.

A remorseful Clarke has taken full responsibility for what happened.
“I am absolutely disappointed that I have brought into this position people I value most in this position. My actions leading up to this altercation were downright shameful and regrettable,” he said on Wednesday evening.
“I’m devastated that my actions have drawn women of class and integrity and my buddies into this situation.”
His former partner Edwards distanced herself from the “debacle” as she delivered a brutal punch to Clarke.
“It’s not my circus. Once again, Michael in his true nature took no responsibility for his actions and I was blatantly lied to,” Edwards said in a statement.
