House Of The Dragon Finale Trailer: Clip titled Fire Will Reign released

HBO has fueled interest in its new series Game Of Thrones: House Of The Dragon with a new promo called Fire Will Reign days ahead of the show’s Sunday debut.

The 45-second trailer for the Game Of Thrones prequel is packed with action and Paddy Consadine, 48, who stars as King Viserys Targaryen, proclaims: “The threat of war looms”.

There are several scenes of upcoming battles as the Targaryen clan fight over who should be the heir apparent of Viserys.

The promo begins with the voice of Viserys Targaryen.

“The way forward is uncertain, but the end is clear.”

Viserys added, “We’d better be defended… by anyone who dares challenge us.”

The highly anticipated series, based on George RR Martin’s Fire & Blood, is set two hundred years before the events of the Emmy-winning show.

It tells the story of House Targaryen.

House of the Dragon also stars Olivia Cook as Otto’s daughter Alicent, known as “the most beautiful woman in the Seven Kingdoms” according to the HBO show site.

Eve Best plays Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, who was passed over to the throne now occupied by her cousin, King Viserys, simply because she was a woman.

Rhaenys is a Dragon Rider married to Steve Toussaint’s Lord Corlys Velaryon, and both of them do a lot of behind-the-scenes maneuvering in this game to win the Iron Throne.

The 10-episode fantasy show was filmed in various locations across Europe including Portugal, Croatia and Spain, with the majority taking place at Leavesden Studios in England.

Most of GOT’s eight seasons were filmed in Northern Ireland.

House Of The Dragon premieres Sunday on HBO and is available to stream on HBO Max. There will be 10 episodes in total. The finale will air on October 23.
