Horror in Auckland: remains of children found in auctioned suitcases

The macabre discovery of a family who had acquired the abandoned property on a plot in a suburb of New Zealand’s big city

The family, who won an auction of abandoned goods at a property in Manurewa, a south Auckland suburb last August 11, may have been hoping to find antique items to decorate their home and children’s things with. It would never have occurred to him to come across dusty suitcases which, once opened, would have revealed horror and forever messed up their lives: human remains were revealed instead of old-fashioned clothing. Then, a week later, the investigative reports made the discovery even more chilling: the remains of two young children, between the ages of 5 and 10.

An outdated story: According to investigators, they could have stayed in the luggage for three to four years, which complicates the investigation, the police emphasized at a press conference. This is not an easy investigation, Inspector Vaaelua noted, horrifying cases like this are difficult for homicide investigators, especially parents.
The investigators rule out any involvement of the finds in the case: they limited themselves to having the goods left in the depot and bought at auction brought to their home. Then, while unpacking and sorting the load on the driveway, a neighbor shared the horrifying find with local media, stating that among the objects were things for children: prams, toys, a walker
The family left Auckland in shock. I wonder if I can ever go back.
