Holland, Russian diplomats expelled, espionage attempt ANSA news agency

(ANSA) — THE HAGUE, FEBRUARY 18 — The Dutch Foreign Ministry today announced the closure of the trade department of the Russian embassy in Amsterdam and the expulsion of Russian diplomats, accusing Moscow in particular of continuing to try to send spies to the Netherlands.

Russia also refuses to issue visas that would allow Dutch diplomats to work in Moscow, the same source said, adding that the Dutch consulate-general in St. Petersburg will close due to staff shortages.
