Heidi Klum is ‘so proud’ of daughter Leni Klum moving to New York City to pursue college and modeling: ‘She really screwed her head up’
Her daughter Leni Klum is moving to the Big Apple after graduating from high school at the beginning of the summer.
And Heidi Klum gushed about her 18-year-old daughter, who is in college and pursuing her modeling career in New York, as she spoke about her teenage boy leaving the nest in an interview with ET Online.
‘I am [so proud]. You know, she turned her head to the right,” said Heidi, 49. “College is top of the list right now. It’s not modeling and she’s really looking forward to the next chapter in her life.”

While she was “proud” that her girl was moving out on her own, like any mother, Heidi expressed a certain sadness when she saw Leni move out.
“Unfortunately, she’s moving away from home,” said Heidi.
“Which is obviously sad, but at the same time she’s got enough to do it. She moves to New York. I started out in New York, so she knows New York inside and out because we shot Project Runway there for many years.”
“Well, she knows it well because I used to move to New York with my family while we were still filming. So, I think she’s going to have a good time, but my heart will be sad,” she explained.

Balancing her fledgling modeling career with her education, she graduated from high school in June.
Heidi gushed about her daughter finishing school when she posted a video of Leni receiving her diploma at her graduation ceremony.

Sharing the clip with her 9.5million Instagram followers, she wrote, “I’m VERY proud of YOU @leniklum #Classof2022.”
The star also posted a boomerang video of the young student tossing her graduation cap and wearing ceremonial robes.
Heidi captioned the sweet moment with a series of celebratory emojis.

Leni also shared a photo of her holding her new diploma, which she captioned “Class of 2022 (blue heart emoji)”.
Heidi shares Leni with Italian businessman Flavio Briatore, 72, although she split from him before the birth and was in a relationship with Seal when she welcomed her eldest.
With the singer, whom she also considers Leni’s father, she had three more children.
The couple separated in 2012, and Heidi is now married to Tokio Hotel guitarist Tom Kaulitz.
