Heather Rae El Moussa updates fans on motherhood as she breastfeeds her two-week-old newborn baby Tristan Jay

Heather Rae El Moussa has fully embraced motherhood and updated her fans by sharing a sweet snap to her Instagram Story on Friday while breastfeeding her newborn son Tristan Jay.

The Selling Sunset star, 35, and Flip or Flop graduate Tarek El Moussa, 41, welcomed their first child together late last month, on Jan. 31.

The real estate agent revealed the special meaning of her son’s name on social media earlier Wednesday, recalling her “scary” birth story in a detailed caption.

The two reality stars wed in 2021 and the blonde beauty became a stepmother to her husband’s two children, Taylor, 12, and Brayden, 7, who he shares with ex-wife Christina Hall.

In the latest photo she uploaded, Heather could be seen lounging on what appeared to be a comfortable bed, sending a small smile towards the camera as her son leaned on her.

In a brief message in the top right corner, the star wrote, “Life these days,” followed by a white heart emoji.

The TV personality continued, “I had two minutes left of the interview and the little boy was crying before the meal. Perfect timing Tristan, now he’s fed and happy,” and finished with a sleepy face emoji.

Earlier Wednesday, Heather explained to her 3 million followers the special meaning behind her son’s nickname while sharing a couple of snaps taken while resting in a hospital bed with her husband and their newborn nearby.

The reality star told her fans that Tarek was originally supposed to be called Tristan, which became her son’s first name, and Jay was her father’s middle name.

She also detailed her birth experience, admitting that there were “some scary moments leading up to him coming into the world.”

The talented beauty recalled being at her last doctor’s appointment and being taken to the hospital “to be monitored because Tristan’s movements had slowed down. I was 4 days past his due date.’

“Here’s a little quick version of the birth story: I had scar tissue that had built up from a biopsy I had years ago, which affected my cervix softening and hydrocele.”

‘Once in the hospital I was given 1/2 tablet of Cytotec to soften the cervix, the balloon was inserted. 2 hours later I was expanded to 4.’

“Balloon fell out, then 3 hours later expanded to 6, then a few minutes to 8 and 15 minutes later my waters broke! It was time to push!! it all happened very quickly.’

“Tristan’s heart rate dropped really low every time I squeezed and stayed low. Which was terrifying.”

“My doctor told me we need to get him out immediately. I had 4 more pushes and to give everything and she would use a vacuum to get him out quickly otherwise we would have to do an emergency c-section.

“Tarek was on my right hand holding my hand to explain everything to me. I pushed so hard that all the blood vessels in my face and chest burst, and soon her “little boy came out healthy and beautiful, I was in shock, it was a surreal experience. I was emotional and drained and already in love.’

During a joint interview with Us Weekly earlier this month, the happy couple opened up about welcoming their first child together.

Tarek had been by his wife’s every step in the hospital and called his son’s birth a “surreal moment”.

“I knew it was happening, but … it was like a feeling I didn’t even know [could happen]. And it was just such a beautiful thing.’

Heather, who has become a stepmother to Tarek’s two children from his previous marriage, said, “Having my own and wearing it and then going through labor…it’s just so beautiful what the female body can do.”

The two lovebirds announced they were expecting baby number one in July 2022 last year, telling People at the time that the discovery came as a “huge shock.”

Heather and Tarek, who said “yes” in October 2021, had tried IVF and were planning to transfer an embryo when they surprisingly found they were pregnant.

“I think when you least expect it and there’s no stress in your life, the world has just given us what it should be. I’m so excited that it happened like this,” the Selling Sunset star explained.

Aside from spending time with their newborn, another milestone the couple will face is their own show, The Flipping El Moussas, which premieres next month on March 2 on both HGTV and Discovery+.

The premise follows the couple “throughout their personal and professional journey from newlyweds to real estate professionals,” according to an IMDB synopsis.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Tarek said in a statement, “We’re thrilled to be able to transform some next-level homes in spectacular locations while also spending more time as a family.”

The first episode during the series premiere sees the talented duo at work on a stunning home in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles.
