The Mystery of Death
According to the Fiji Sun, on July 9 Bradley Robert Dawson, a 38-year-old American citizen from Memphis, allegedly killed his new wife Christie, 36, a pharmacist, in the paradise made famous on the 1980s set of the cult film, blue Lagoon With Brooke Shields.
“I am innocent”
The woman’s body was found in a room at the resort, but the man, who claims to be innocent, couldn’t explain why his wife was lifeless. On Wednesday, her husband appeared before a court in Lautoka, Fiji’s second largest city, where the judge confirmed he had committed a criminal offense for which he will have to answer before the Fiji High Court on July 27.
The murder allegedly took place at Turtle Island Resort, Fiji, a luxury resort on the Yasawa Sun in the Fiji archipelago chosen as the location for Brooke Shields’ 1980 film The Blue Lagoon. It only welcomes 14 couples at a time and offers visitors access to private beaches.
