A photographer tracked down the pensioner in 2020who reveals that there is no phone, electricity or drinking water in his cabin.

The attack caused him a brain hemorrhage that forced him into a coma for 23 days.
“They said I would never recover and never speak again,” says Ken. “But also that I would never run again. So I decided that I would only live on my terms.”
After the attack, Ken started to travel considering the idea of living in the midst of wild nature.
When he visited the Yukon Territory (Canada), he decided to move off the highway to nowhere and travel for about 40,000 km. Then he decided it was time to go home.
That was during this incredible journey his parents dieda tragic event he only discovered when he returned home.
Ken’s hike ends in the forest
Ken started criss-crossing the UK, but when he heard of his parents’ death, he broke down completely.

“I cried the whole way,” she tells the documentary. “Then I thought: Where is this? the most isolated place In the United Kingdom?”
To find it, Ken began to wander, following every cove and place where there was no trace of civilization.
“After traveling for miles through nothing, I finally saw this forest on the other side of the lake.”
Since then, Ken has stopped crying and decided to build his log cabin, which ends up staying in that place, subsisting mainly on the fish of the lake.
“If you want to learn to live independently, you have to learn to fish,” he says.
However, things got complicated for Ken when in February 2019 meanwhile had a stroke stood in the freezing snow.
He managed to send a message through the GPS tracker, given to him a few days earlier. The signal from the United States was sent to the United Kingdom Coast Guard, who managed to pick it up and bring it by helicopter at Fort William Hospital.
When he recovered after several weeks of recovery, he returned to his life as a hermit, despite many attempts to convince him to do so.
