Harry ends up against his will in the diplomatic crisis

Harry ends up (against his will) in the diplomatic crisis between London and Tehran

by Enrica Roddolo

London condemns the killing of Anglo-Iranian national accused of espionage. From Tehran, the foreign minister replied via Twitter: “With what Harry has written about Afghanistan, you are not in a position to teach human rights classes.”

Prince Harry – after confessing in Spare to killing 25 Taliban – is at the center of the storm, not only for relations with the Windsors but also for diplomatic relations with Iran. After Tehran executed diplomat Alireza Akbari, an Anglo-Iranian national accused of espionage, in recent days and London condemned the brutal act, the Iranian foreign minister’s response has arrived via tweet, presenting the explanations to His Majesty’s Government The Prince in his autobiography. “The ‘British regime’ – writes the Iranian government official – a member of the royal family sees the killing of 25 people as a gambit and is unable to teach others about human rights.”

The clue refers to the passage from Harry’s memoirs in which King Charles’ son recounts his experiences on the battlefield. A passage that the prince himself had misinterpreted. The fact remains that Tehran’s social media attack in London questioning the prince’s book confirms how severe the fallout from the Confessions memoir will be, which many commentators in London had already noted in recent days – beyond the attacks on the king family – dangerous from a security point of view.

Andy McNab, a former member of the SAS, branded the prince’s comments in the Express as unwise: “As we have seen, the extremists have no qualms about how and when they will achieve their goals. And they have long memories,” it calculates that the Duke of Sussex now needs £5.5million security to keep his family safe around the clock.

Meanwhile in London, the Windsors have resumed royal engagements activity in the wake of Harry’s poisoned arrows. For Camilla, however, the activity started anew with a speech at the University of Aberdeen. Whilst the Princess of Wales, Kate, met children at a nursery to announce a new step in her initiative program in favor of early childhood education (0-5 years). It is his first project of his own, which he launched with the Royal Foundation and two years ago at the G7 in Cornwall to the First Lady, Dr. Biden.
