Gwyneth Paltrow’s followers are horrified she’s using farmed salmon in her GOOP detox salad while being raked over coals for her cooking

Gwyneth Paltrow was in the kitchen in a new post shared to her GOOP Instagram page on Wednesday.

The 50-year-old Oscar winner made a salmon salad, which she described as a “detox reset” meal on her GOOP page.

Although the cookbook author seemed like she knew what she was doing in the kitchen, some of her followers slammed her for various reasons. Some were upset that she used farmed salmon, others were upset that she didn’t use all of her spears of asparagus, and then there was one person who didn’t like it when she used the word “detox.”

Comments overall were mixed with several people getting upset about the salmon, which appears to have been farmed and not line caught.

“That farmed salmon that she’s eating is probably the most toxic,” one person said.

Another comment on her salmon said: “It was going so well until she started using farmed salmon instead of wild salmon.”

And it just kept going from there: “I just read an article about how bad of most fish salmon is for you. Among other things, it retains most of the mercury.”

Another follower didn’t like it when Paltrow used the word “detox.”

“For example, people go to ‘detox’ to get sober/clean off alcohol and drugs because they are poison. Your organs detoxify you every day. Which foods are so toxic that you need to detox? Removing certain foods from your diet is not the same as going on a detox,” it said.

The salad was basically salmon on a bed of vegetables – carbs were not invited to this party.

The veggies consisted of grilled asparagus, scallions and squash cooked under the grill, but she said you could use whatever you had in your fridge.

When she chopped up the asparagus, she didn’t use the entire stalk, which left some followers unhappy, as they said it was a “waste.”

Next, she grilled two pieces of salmon that were brushed with olive oil, and when she was done, she placed the fish on a bed of romaine lettuce.

A beef with her salmon:

Next came a “really easy” chive maple Dijon vinaigrette, which she layered with a spoon.

“I mean look how rich and beautiful that is… it’s nutrient dense, that’s a big meal,” she shared.

The Instagram caption read: “Day 7 | Recipes so good you’ll forget you’re on a reset. There are plenty of recipes (and no-recipe recipes) to choose from when planning your week – your reset guide will walk you through everything in detail. Link now in bioshop.’

“Thanks for following my Goop Reset meal, I’m feeling really good,” finished the mother-of-two, formerly married to rocker Chris Martin.

The Shakespeare In Love star wore a light gray v-neck sweater and high-waisted jeans that revealed a hint of her toned abs.

She had her blonde hair down and wore no makeup, but added a few rings to her fingers to sparkle.
