Shots were heard in the Neufchâtel area on Friday evening when suspects tried to break into a residential building before fleeing.
Very little information is currently available about the event, other than the fact that it occurred just after 8 p.m. on Chauveau Avenue, not far from François Hazeur Street.
By the time officers from the Service de Police de la Ville de Québec (SPVQ) arrived, the criminals had already cleared the scene and luckily no one was injured.
“A perimeter has been established. A dog handler and several police officers searched the area for the suspects. The investigation is ongoing,” said SPVQ spokeswoman Sandra Dion.
The criminal police and investigators from the police were on site to bring light into the darkness.
