Government of Bolivia highlights care for kidney patients

President Luis Arce reported this Thursday that his government has invested 479.3 million pesos in providing free hemodialysis treatment to more than 3,400 patients over the two years in power.

Through his Twitter account, the dignitary explained that more than 13.8 million Bolivian pesos have been invested in kidney treatments and transplants, in line with his policy of ensuring the health of his people as a priority.

The Ministry of Health of the Andean country is thus guaranteeing insurance for patients with chronic kidney disease without free treatment as part of the consolidation and strengthening of the Unified Health System (SUS).

“Caring for the health of our people is integral and will always be a priority for our government,” the President said.

In this sense, he also stressed that the unity, struggle and democratic consciousness of the people made it possible to restore the health of Bolivians.

On January 4th, the Bolivian Ministry of Health and Sports, through a statement published on the social network Twitter, ratified that “through the Unified Health System, kidney patients on dialysis are guaranteed free treatment”.
