A number of new products were announced at the beginning of the year.

A number of new products were announced at the beginning of the year.

At the CES in Las Vegas, MSI presented many laptop PC references. This Wednesday, January 18th, the manufacturer organized an event in Paris where we could see all these machines.

Of course, like every year, a lot of refreshers are part of the game and we see the further development of the internal components in particular. In this case, gaming laptops (Raider, Stealth, Pulse, Katana, Cyborg) and those for developers (Creator) now contain Nvidia RTX 40 graphics cards, in general up to 4070, especially in thin PCs, but up to 4090 for tall gamers -models. The 13th generation of Intel processors is arriving on all computers, from entry-level models like the Modern 15 to the Summit, which is more aimed at professionals.

In terms of design, the trend is towards finesse and magnesium chassis for high-end models like the Stealth 14 and 16, intended for gamers who want a sober and light computer, or the Creator Z17 and M16. We are therefore now going to find a 14-inch gaming PC, a format still rare on the gaming market apart from Razer and Asus, and whose screen is in 16:10 format. This is trending again at MSI (and globally in 2023): many more references are taking advantage of it, showing a more comfortable design with thin bezels.

Obviously, as you can imagine, we find the gaming monsters Raider GE and Titan GT, which have the most advanced technologies, including 4K Mini LED or LCD screens with dual 4K 120Hz/1440p and 240Hz (like what we saw on Razer’s Blade). 16), RTX 4090s, up to 128 GB RAM and 6 TB SSD, no less.

Other PCs for less expensive gamers are also back, like the Katana or the Pulse, and a new reference appears, the Cyborg 15, which “only” integrates an RTX 4060 and a 12th generation processor. A small compromise that allows it to be displayed at an affordable price since its starting price is €1100.

MSI now covers absolutely every price segment and taste imaginable, from wealthy gamers and developers to entry-level and high-end office automation. See you in a few weeks for the first tests of the brand’s PCs to see what the 13th gen and RTX 40 have in store.
