Two people were killed and five others injured in a “knife attack” on a German regional train from Kiel to Hamburg near Brokstedt. The dpa reported, citing the Interior Minister of Schleswig-Holstein. Bild also writes that the police arrested a man who, according to initial rumors, was a Syrian with mental health problems.
The newspaper Bild writes that the perpetrator is a Palestinian refugee. Police and authorities have not provided any official information on the identity of the alleged attacker, other than that he is between 20 and 30 years old.
