German ship rescues more than 300 migrants in the Mediterranean

After a morning operation, the crew of the ship “Sea-Eye 4” discovered a rubber dinghy with 63 women and men, 13 of them minors.

German rescuers from the Sea-Eye association brought 353 migrants aboard in the Mediterranean. According to its own statements, the Regensburg organization initially rescued 290 people from an overcrowded wooden boat on Wednesday. After the morning’s operation, the crew of the ship “Sea-Eye 4” discovered a rubber dinghy with 63 women and men, 13 of them minors.

They were also brought onto the ship, which 416 refugees and migrants were now on after a first mission on Monday. Among them are many children and even a baby.
